Join TRUST Ireland for a session exploring how the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) can be utilized to promote human rights in and through sports, in Ireland. The UPR is a United Nations process whereby every country has its human rights record reviewed every five years. Ireland’s third review is approaching and the government is seeking input on their report.
- Why should you get involved? This is a unique opportunity to bring issues around humanrights in and through sport in Ireland to both Irish government and international attention. This webinar will provide an introduction to the UPR process and help sporting organisations and rightsholder advocate groups to prepare their submissions for the government consultation due on May 7th.
