Rights-holders

Human rights are rights we have because we exist as human beings. We are all entitled to our human rights as "rights-holders".

However, we know that some groups have faced more significant obstacles in having their rights respected, including the right to participate in sport and their human rights in and through sports. TRUST Ireland is working with many groups to ensure everyone has the knowledge and tools needed to advocate for the right to sport.

Together with rights-holders effected, we are developing resources for several groups to understand how human rights in and through sport relates to their experiences. Click through the tabs to find information specific to your situation. In TRUST Ireland, we recognise that people are not a single identity. You may identify as a member of just one of these groups or several of them. Please use as many of these resources as you wish.
